You can normally find your annual electricity usage, or a prediction of it, in your electricity bill.
As a guide, we would expect a small domestic property to use around 4000 kWh a year, and a large domestic property to use 7000 kWh – 12,000 kWh a year.
Note: if you have solar PV installed already, look at the usage on your electricity bill, and add back any usage (kWh) you think is being met by solar.
If in doubt, select Single-Phase for domestic properties, Three-Phase for businesses.
We only use this to work out how much hot water would be electrically heated per year. If the building is not a domestic property (so less hot water would be used per 'occupant'), please take this into consideration when answering to improve accuracy.
One of the benefits of battery storage is that it allows you to switch to a time-of-use (or peak / off-peak) tariff and to negate the peak tariff by charging the battery at the off-peak rate (night) and discharging it during the peak rate.
